Pronounced “fifth,” FVITH takes its name from a number that kept appearing long before there was a brand to name.

Founders Amanda and Grant are the two oldest of five siblings. Grant was born on the fifth, and when they began building FVITH together, the number already felt personal. Five also appears repeatedly throughout the Bible, giving the number another layer of personal meaning for the founders.

The V, the Roman numeral for five, gave FVITH its form, while the idea of a fifth element gave it another dimension: the intangible piece that changes how everything else is experienced.

The mark came next.

A family friend hand-drew five individual match sticks, placing four alongside one another and striking the fifth across them. It was graphic, imperfect and immediately recognizable.

That mix of restraint and edge has stayed with FVITH ever since.

The number five began with family, but the name has come to represent something broader: the details, references and contradictions that give an object its character.
